Anna in her wolf form loved the feeling of racing wild through the forest dodging trees as she went smiling a large wolfish grin. Before she reached Forks and the rock formation that was her destination however, Anna went behind a close grouping of trees and phased, untying the dress she had around her ankle she slipped it on and tied the bow in the back. She was allowed in Forks but she wasn't going to push things by coming over the bored in full wolf glory. Her dark eyes bright in the early morning sun, she skidded barefoot down the largest rock in the formation. It was beautiful like the rocks and water where the mermaids lived in her favorite childhood movie Peter Pan. She lay on a rock, warm from the sun and trailed her fingers through the water. It wasn't all that deep so it was slightly warm and felt almost soft between her fingers. The sun was glorious, it didn't come out often but when it did, you better bet Anna was outside. It would only be a few hours before the rain came and it was dark again in Forks. She fell asleep there, her hand resting in the water, her hair spilled out around her on the rock. When she awoke she could feel that she was no longer alone. It was cloudy and the sun was long hidden, probably not to return for days. She sighed and sat up fixing her hair, very like a mermaid from Peter Pan herself. "Is someone here?" She called out voice soft from sleep.

The vampire walked down towards the rocks, she had been stuck inside most of the day because of the sun so she was glad to be out. She stepped from rock to rock, careful not to get her boots wet or dirty. Suddenly she wrinkled her nose at an unpleasant scent. She hadn't encountered it in more than a hundred years but she recognized it right away, werewolf.
She saw a young girl half sitting on the rocks, at first she thought it couldn't be her, but there was no overpowering scent of human, and the girl reeked of werewolf. Amber began stepping back, carefully, hoping the werewolf wouldn't spot her. If she did it wouldn't end well. Word Count: [/font] 118 Outfit: here[/blockquote]

Anna looked around her, she smelled it, a vampire. 'Oh shoot, why did I let my guard down so low in Forks?' Anna scolded herself and stood, her eyes locked on a beautiful blond woman and Anna shivered despite her warm skin. Her father and brother were going to kill her for being so stupid. She froze staring at the woman doing nothing yet. She really didn't want a fight. Her mother had been friends with vampires, why couldn't she be? She couldn't tell what kind of diet the woman had, was she a 'vegetarian' as the Cullen's called themselves or did she feast on humans? Anna could not deny her shape shifter blood and like this woman if she killed humans. If she was like the Cullen's maybe they could talk? "I don't know who you are, but I know ~what~ you are." Anna stopped and ran her palms against her dress, trying to stay calm. "Do you hunt humans?" Anna asked giving her the chance to talk, maybe if they talked, Anna could see herself being friendly? Oh God she was so dead.

Amber paused at looked at the werewolf, she could tell the girl was a little panicked, and she had a reason to be. Werewolf or not Amber could have shot over their, bit her and got away in two seconds flat. "Honey," She said rolling her dark amber eyes, "I am not a Cullen, but I'm not a psychopath either." She finished, knowing that would probably confuse the girl. She adjusted her coat and pulled sunglasses out of her purse, putting them on over her amber eyes.
"I prefer to do what I like, if I feel like being good I go and hunt Bambi, if I'm feeling in the mood for something tastier I go the Seatle." She noticed how the girl tensed when she said that, "Where I hunt murderers. I have enough self-control for that. Like I said, I'm not a psychopath." Word Count: 152 Outfit: here

Anna's eyes narrowed slightly as the vampire called her 'honey'. Yeah she was young, probably far younger than this vampire, but pet names made her feel weak and childish. A scared little girl, with lovely wolf fur. She even rolled her eyes at Anna. This didn't go over well with her. She looked innocent and young but that didn't mean she wasn't strong and quite quick at that. Anna crossed her arms over her chest raising one eye brow at the vampire. Not a psychopath huh? Anna wasn't so sure about that. The way she was confusing her made Anna even more timidly afraid around the vampire woman. She tried not to let this show as she faced the woman. As she put on her sunglasses, which seemed pointless to Anna in the cloudy afternoon, Anna ran a hand through her hair, trying to act nonchalant. When her hand began to shake slightly she held it against her ribs tightly. Anna was slightly shocked at the vampire's next words. When she felt like being good? Anna was so screwed. It was clear to her that the vampire found herself to be very self important. She reminded her of her mother's stories of the lovely vampire Tanya. Only Tanya didn't hunt humans... Anna didn't look away from the pretty vampire but adjusted her dress making sure it fell properly once again trying to make it seem like she wasn't as afraid as she was. "I had assumed you weren't a Cullen." Anna replied boldly looking her over, "So should I be worried about dying or something?" Anna asked with a bravado she didn't feel.

Amber knew that the werewolf girl was freaking out, "Not right now, you're lucky I'm in a good mood." She flashed a brilliant smile at the girl, knowing it would probably scare her. "And like I said, I don't aim to kill. When I do it's in self defense, or it's humans who kill others for pleasure. I try to do a little good in the world, though I can't imagine you understanding that. After all you are a werewolf."
The vampire ran her fingers through her white blond hair and looked up at the sky through her sunglasses. It was cloudy, but still too bright for her taste. Any brighter and she would be sparkling like a disco ball. She was risking a lot coming out right now, but what fun was being immortal if you didn't live a little. "Now the real question is, do I have to worry about you flying at me and changing into an overgrown dog? It looks like you're having a little trouble holding your shape." Word Count: 172 Outfit: here

Anna hated seeing that smile. It felt like the smile of a predator eying it's prey. Anna Alice Black was not anyones prey. She smiled back at the woman, raising her head high. Looking like any proud Native American woman, although her skin color didn't admit it, she had the blood of her people running through her veins and she was proud of it. "I am a shape shifter and I will not let you say that my people do no good for the world." Anna hissed She calmed herself, taking a deep breath so she didn't explode, Hell she really liked this dress. "Lucky for you then, that I have self control." Anna replied She gave the woman a sarcastic little smile and fought keeping herself from running from her. She was intimidating and Anna, being fairly new to this world of fur and teeth, felt like an untrained child holding a gun faced with a full grown adult who'd been training for years with a far more Superior weapon. "You say you kill murders, then what does that make you?" Anna asked, unable to stop herself and stay safe in her silence.

"I never your people don't do good in this world, I'm just saying that not all vampires are evil." She pushed her hair out of her face, "And I'm not trying to justify what I do. I'm a killer, I know that, but I take small comfort in knowing that because I kill someone may be saved. Isn't that how your pack works?" She asked, "You kill vampires to save humans, I kill humans to save other humans."
She brushed some dirt off her boots, knowing that to the werewolf she would look vulnerable, but she was anything but. Standing up straight once more she crossed her arms casually. "And as for self-control, I've seen werewolves with more self-control, and werewolves with less too. But you're doing a good job, considering you're in the presence of your mortal enemy I'd like to congratulate you." Word Count: 151 Outfit: here

"I may be a wolf part of the time, but that doesn't mean I do not know this. I know that not all vampires are bad. I wouldn't be standing here now if I didn't hope for the chance of meeting another vampire that wasn't...as you put it evil." Anna replied Anna shifted anxiously at her words, yes that was how her pack worked but she herself hadn't had to use her wolf form for anything other than play so far and she wanted to keep it that way. If she had to kill, she would, there was no question there. However that didn't mean she wanted to kill. Anna wasn't surprised in the least that the vampire woman leaned down to brush dirt from her shoes, not even looking at her as she did so. Anna was pretty sure the vampire figured herself to be the stronger of the two of them. That little Anna wasn;t a threat to her. Anna may have been fairly new to this life but she wasn't stupid, if this vampire attacked she was probably dead. She would not push this woman too far. Anna had a family and a pack that needed her. Angering a vampire and getting herself killed was a stupid way to repay them for being there for her. She was congratulating her on her self control? Anna did have self control, she wasn't as volatile as the boys or even Dani could be. She was able to control her anger and fear better than most of the pack. "My mortal enemy." Anna repeated. "Well miss mortal enemy, I am Anna." She figured if she was dying today, there wasn't much she could do about it, so she might as well try being friendly with this vampire.

Amber smiled again at the werewolf. "Anna, would you be by any chance Ms. Anna Alice Black? Daughter of Jacob and Isabella Black, twin to William Black and older sister to Keira Black? That Anna?" She knew that her knowledge would probably scare the werewolf, but she made it her job to know everything she could about everyone in town. "I'm Amber," She finished laughing a little.
"Sorry, I'm a show off, it drives my friends crazy, which is why I do it." She smiled again, more genuine now than before. She knew when she smiled she looked younger than 19, the age she had been changed at, when she smiled a true smile she could easily pass of for 17 or 18, the ages she was pretending to be. "And I don't like making too many enemies, because sooner or later you'll need their help, and then you're in trouble." Word Count: 150 Outfit:here

Anna stiffened at her words. She knew far too much about her. It was startling and scary all at once. Anna held her head high however as she responded. "Yes, I am that Anna." She replied sweeping her hair from her eyes with a hand that trembled not from the change, but from slight fear. "Have you met my family?" Anna asked. Mostly she meant her sister Keira. If she ever even thought about hurting her Keira things would get ugly real fast. The sweetest most lovely sister can be known to be the fiercest killer when her sister is in trouble. That went doubly so for Anna's human sister Keira. Anna smiled just the smallest smile as Amber talked about teasing her friends. How quickly she had changed. It was like flipping a switch. The second Anna decided to let her guard down, Amber had become almost a different person entirely. "You think at some time you'll need my help?" Anna asked her eye brow slightly raised in question. Was that why she was being nice? So she could use Anna if she needed help later on? Well that sucked, but Anna didn't care. She wouldn't let this or any other innocent vampire die if she could help it. Amber was lucky she had run into Anna, and not another of her pack.

Amber smiled, "I've seen your sister around Forks High school, I'm a student there," She added seeing the werewolf's confused face. "And I'm not just being nice because I think I'll need your help. I'm being nice because I don't want to be hated and because you're a nice person."
She brushed her white blond hair out of her face. "Now take that as a compliment, cause I can see through people and a lot of them are dishonest idiots."

"I am a nice person when I want to be. You hurt my sister Miss Amber, and all bets are off." Anna had to make that perfectly clear. It was a threat, but hopefully one that Amber would expect. Anna wasn't trying to be rude or powerful, she was looking out for her family. "I do take that as a compliment." Anna replied smoothing back her hair and slowly sinking to a seated position again on the rocks. Her long legs tucked under her, her hands resting on her thighs. She figured if Amber was going to strike out at her, she would have done so already. Plus Anna was beginning to like her, she might even consider being friendly with her at school as well. "So you go to Forks High, I'm sure you know I do as well. Apparently we have no classes together, for I haven't seen you around." Anna commented.

Amber nodded to Anna, "I wouldn't expect you to make any other promises. Family comes first, though I must say I haven't hurt an innocent human in over a hundred and fifty years." She too sat down casually, though she preferred to stand she thought maybe sitting and being in a less aggressive position would help the slight tension.
"Yes I've seen you around the school, and it's strange we don't have any classes together. We're both seniors, well it's a mystery." She shrugged and put her purse down next to her. She noticed that the clouds were becoming heavier and pulled her sunglasses off, putting them in her purse.

It was only because Anna practiced hiding her emotions that she was able to keep the startled expression from her face. She nodded her head slightly to admit that she had heard that this vampire had been alive for over one hundred and fifty years. That was the only reaction she let herself show. Inside she was thanking God that she hadn't gotten on Amber's bad side and chosen to be a bitch that, would have gotten her killed. One bite and Anna would die. She smiled at Amber hiding her worry behind a friendly gaze. She watched as Amber fluidly moved to sit down on a rock as well. They were pretty far apart but both had exceptional hearing so they didn't need to draw closer to hear one another. Anna lazily dragged her fingers over the surface of the water, causing a rippling affect to accrue. She only took her eyes off of Amber for a second, it was her trying to say she felt comfortable enough to do so, although she didn't. "What brings you to Forks?" Anna asked tittling her head to the side, her long hair spilling down her chest. "It is strange, but now that Forks High as the res kids too, it's about filled to it's limit. So that could be why we've had no interactions before now." Anna thought about it, there was a very small amount of kids in her grad. class and she usually knew them all. It was safer to know them all. Amber seemed wonderful at knowing all about her. She wondered what else she knew about Anna and her family.
