They were having a dance at Forks High. Probably to celebrate the fact that the small population had grown. Adding the kids from La Push had made Forks High a little more alive than it had been. Of course that may have been because some of the wolves hated the vampires and she was quite sure that went both ways. She herself had never met the Cullen's although some seemed nice like Alice, and maybe the funny one Emmett, her mother had told her that all vampires were evil beings. She in no way agreed with her mother on that one. A vampire was just a human who had been turned, they still had human feelings plain as she did. So today Dani was shopping for a dress. She didn't know why she was going to the dance, alright she did, she was hoping Will would be there. So she needed to look good. She hated how everyone had automatically judged her on how here mother had been. She COULD be as harsh as her mother if she wished to be, but she hardly ever did it. She was actually more like how her mother had been before her cousin and best friend Emily had somehow gotten her mother's first love. Dani didn't blame Emily at all. In fact she loved Emily, although she'd never tell her mother this, she considered Emily to be like an aunt to her. She was distantly related anyway. So Dani was shopping at a local store in Port Angeles when she thought she saw someone she knew coming closer. She put the dress she had been eying back on the rack and turned to face the person, smiling.

Keira sighed, she always seemed to be doing that. Sighing. It was something that she was doing allot of these days. Well, anyways, she sighed as she hopped off her bike. She had to go shopping for the ridiculous school dance, as her father mother, and sister all pulled together to make her go.
A Masked ball! Holy crow was this so messed up.
She stepped into the store, with her helmet under her arm. The First thing she spotted was a dark head in the back othat could only belong to Dani. She smiled, at least she wasnt in this alone. She made her way back to the back of the store, and saw what Dani was putting back on the rack, and silently agreed with her.
"So, what do you think about this whole Masked Ball stuff?" She said, grinning.

Dani knew the second Keria approached, she could smell her fimilar scent, which may have been a little strange but she was a wolf part of the time so it was expected, she guessed. "Aw Keira lovely to see you too." Dani joked spinning around to face her friend who was smiling. She wondered for a breif moment if Keira thought she would lie to her and say she was super excited and all, but it was on;y for a second. Keira was daring Dani to lie to her, she was seriously asking this question. Keira wasn't like the people who felt like they needed to test her, she was her friend. "Eh, it could be lamer." Dani decided, "I mean they are making you go right? If worse comes to worse we can ditch and go do something else. Looking like idiots all dressed up and going to the movies or something." Dani grinned. She reached her hand out to grab another dress and held it up. It was hideous, a grandmothers curtains sewn into a dress, dress. "Whatcha think Keira? Sexiest dress ever right?" Dani teased.

"Oh yes Dani," She said smiling and picking up a cream colored dress that she absolutly loved actually. She may just have to get it.
"I agree though," She said, setting the dress down gingerly so she could try it on later. "We should at least go to part of the dance, so we can show the Forks Kids how we party," She smiled slightly. She was of course kidding about showing them how the party, but she wasnt about going part of the time. SHe was actually excited about the Masqurade. She had never went to one, and her mother and father had given her money to shop for everything. So she was going to have fun shopping, like she allways did. The dance? She didnt know, because all the dances she'd been to, sucked. She went into the dressing room with a grey dress, green dress, and Two creme dresses.
The first one she found, she would try on last.
SHe came out, each one on, four different times. The last one was the first she found, and she looked in the mirror. She smiled at how it looked on her.
"What do you think?" She asked, twirling.

Dani laughed as Keira jokingly agreed with her about the grandma dress. Dani slid it to the back of the rack, hoping some poor soul wouldn't find it and think it was the coolest dress ever. Her fingers traced the silky fabric or a red dress and she put it over her arm, she'd try it on. She watched as Keira picked out a couple dresses and made her way into the dressing room. Coming out and looking in the mirror critically at each dress. The last dress was a lovely creme color and it made Keira's hair seem to shine. The difference in colors was beautiful. "Oh Keira, that dress was made for you." Dani replied as she was asked for her opinion. "It's fantastic." She added as Keira looked at herself in the mirror. Over her arm she had a red dress, sapphire blue dress and one Pearl Grey dress. Going into the dressing room she did the same as Keira, moving in front of the mirror and watching the shiny fabric move against her hips. The red dress was clingy. She went back to try on the sapphire blue dress and she knew before she even got into the last dress, that this was the one she wanted. It wasn't full length, it rested a little above her knees. It was tight under her chest and pleaded to the knees, so if she spun in a circle, the dress would twirl out around her. She adored it. "Hmmmm, I think I like it, what do you think Keira?" She asked looking over her shoulder to Keira.

Amber flipped through the racks of clothing looking for an outfit for the masked ball. She was attending Forks High school and everyone there was under the impression she was 18. In reality she was 437, changed at 19, but she managed to pull it off. Though the whole parent thing was tricky. She could forage signatures easily enough. So she had made up a story about her family, her parents slip up, her father lived in New York, and her mother worked in Seatle. She had a friend in Seatle help her with the fake ids and her "mother's" employment records. So far she had covered her tracks perfectly, and no one would suspect anything.
She came to a pink dress, it was sparkly, poofy and flowery, so not her. She flicked it down the rack in distaste, her amber eyes rolling. She adjusted her black beret and pulled her purse up higher on her shoulder, trying to appear human, as she kept looking through the dresses. She paused to look at a purple one, but then noticed the huge bow on the back and skipped over it. Bows were so not her thing.
She looked around the store, her amber eyes curious, as she scented werewolf among the humans. She spotted the werewolf quickly, a teenage girl. Looks like female werewolves are becoming more and more common. She thought to herself before turning back to the dresses.
She abandoned that rack and went over to a larger one. Too bright. To dak. To... vampireish. Were her thoughts as she flipped past a neon orange, a pitch black, and a torn red and black velvet and silk dress. Finally she paused to look at a strapless grey one, it shimmered with darker grey but had lights of silver going through it. She loved it and had to get it. She pulled it off the rack and looked at the tag, perfect it was in her size.
She decided, for the sake of acting human, she would try it on. She walked over to the change room, got into one of the cubicles and pulled her jeans and shirt off. She slipped the dress on, adjusted the strap and stepped out of the dressing room. She admired herself in the mirror, the dress was amazing. She smiled to herself as she realized her silver heels would go with it perfectly. She quickly changed back into her outfit and on her way to the check out passed the werewolf and human again.
She realized then the human was Keira Black, the only daughter in her family not to have changed into a werewolf. At the checkout she payed for her dress and went to browse and jewelery. Word Count: 451 Outfit: here Dress she bought: here

The sudden rush of air from the front of the store as an elderly woman and her teenage daughter entered brought with it a rather unfortunate scent. There was a vampire in the store. Dani let her eyes roam casually as if she were looking at the stores items and not for a vampire who could decide to cause a scene and hurt the humans in the store. One of those humans was Dani's friend Keira and she would not let her or any other human here be hurt while in her presence. She laid eyes on her almost right away. A pale blond, like Rosalie yet it wasn't Rosalie herself. This was the vampire that Dani had seen at Forks High. Trailing along with her books acting as human as possible with that impossibly angelic vampire face. She knew that the vampire had sensed her as well, and seeing as she wasn't looking like she was going to start anything Dani kept on her smile and continued to talk to Keira as if nothing was wrong. The vampire tried on a lovely silvery dress that made her look all the more other worldly, and Dani for a moment worried for the human boys of Forks High school. She smiled at Keira and nodded toward the counter that held hair things and other accessories. "Want to find something to match the loveliness that are these dresses?" Dani asked, smiling with her eyes.

Amber found the perfect necklace to go with her new dress, a silver choker like necklace with many large bits of silver hanging down from it, fanning out. She also found a dark grey bracelet that would look amazing with it. She kept browsing through the accessories, picking out a new pair of large white sunglasses, a vampire could never have too many, and a beautiful silver hair clip that would go nicely with any outfit.
She glanced at the werewolf and human every now and again. When she was sure the werewolf was looking she flashed her venomous teeth in a huge stunning grin. She knew the werewolf knew what she was, so she decided to have a little fun.

Keira smiled at the creme dress.
"It Looks Amazing," She said, turning in her own dress. She would have to buy a mask, she had part of the jewelry covered. All she would need was a mask and shoes. She went back into the dressing room, and slipped the dress off. She came back out with it over her arm. She was difinitly going to get it.
She loved how it tied at the waist, and the jems trailing across and down it. She smiled as she spied a pair of champaign colored shoes on a sale rack. She skipped over to them and snatched them up. They were her size.
"Score," She said, walking back to Dani, and seeing her tense up. Keira looked to where Dani was staring. She was looking a t a stunning blond. The one who looked amazing in the silver dress she had just tried on. The girl smiled a strange, overly trying smile. Keira knew her face shone her confusion. She didnt know why Dani was acting so weird..Unless...... But no, she couldnt be. Could she? Keira had never even seen a vampire before. Was this girl really one? If so, did she know the fairy tale like family that her mother used to tell her bed time stories about? She shook her head, clearing it from her face. Was she afraid? Not really, one because she was in a well lit store, and two, she was there with a werewolf.
She smiled at Dani.
"Masks," She said, picking up a black jeweled one with a feather on it. She had her whole out fit planned out, and it only took her about an hour to get it done. She smiled at her small victory. Outfit:: ThisWords:: 289

"Thanks." Dani said as Keira told her the dress looked amazing. She held it over her arm, she was sure this dress was the one, so she wasn't putting it down for anything. Well unless the vampire decided she wanted to attack some humans. That would be another story. She knew she wasn't fooling Keira with her sudden stiff moment and then fake smile. She didn't want to hide it from her. If there was a vampire present she wanted Keira to know and acting this way was a simple way to alert her friend without actually saying. 'Hey Keira look a vampire.' Well she'd never say it like that any way but it was the general idea that if she said anything aloud the vampire would hear her. Dani glanced at the vampire and ended up making eye contact. She did nothing, and was about to look away as if nothing was wrong when the vampire flashed her a huge smile. It made the hair on Dani's arms stand on end as goose bumps stained her flesh. She stood tall and winked at the vampire. If she wanted to play that way, then fine. No daughter of Leah Clearwater was going to back down to a challenge. Unless it was stupid, she wasn't about to be her mother in every way. Some things just weren't worth the time. Dani followed Keira and smiled as she found a really pretty mask. She herself sifted through the pile of masks and came up with a black mask that was all black satin, coated in a layer of black lace. It was elegant and perfect for her. She nodded and grabbing that and a pair of dangling earing's Dani was ready for this freaking dance.
